Meet John Callahan
John Callahan has been a leader and mentor in the commercial construction and multi-unit/mixed use building industry for over 30 years. He held executive positions in the commercial construction, development, and property management industry and led investments in multi-unit/mixed use development projects in the Boston area.
John’s accumulated diverse experience enables him to look at a project in a multifaceted holistic fashion that considers both practical building factors as well as investor, owner, and operator considerations.
John aims to identify potential risks and benefits early in the project and strives to make proactive adjustments in the pre-construction, construction, and post-construction process to generate additional value for his clients.

Since starting Bostex Builders and Construction Management, LLC in 2021, we have been providing customized construction management services for clients, including: project management, claims management, constructability reviews, production and schedule improvement for contractors, coaching for ground up construction, executive management of multiple capital projects, partnering with general contractors to scale their business, and consulting on property repositioning transactions for maximum value and sale.

Led all field and office operations in the permitting, demolition, construction, post construction and stabilization of two multi-million, multi-unit, mixed use developments in Watertown, MA.

Primary fundraiser and manager for the company which raised and invested millions of dollars for real estate development projects in the Boston area.
Turner Construction Company, Boston, MA
Having finished a long career in Boston in various operational and leadership positions in both ground up projects and renovation and buildout projects within the Special Projects Division, John formed many long-term relationships with staff and clients that remain strong today.
John holds an BS in Business Administration from the University of Maine, Orono, ME and an
AS in Building Construction Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston, MA.

Business Philosophy
John’s collaborative leadership style encourages input from all team members, both internal and external, which improves buy-in from the project team and ultimately generates better results for the customer. Every project begins with a consensus mission statement that is driven by input from each member of the project team. The mission statement defines the teams’ goals to keep members aligned and working towards the agreed upon goals, which are reviewed and re-affirmed throughout the project as challenges arise.
